Bringing Digital Marketing to Life with an Event at Metro Bank
Smarty co-hosted a digital marketing seminar at Metro Bank to help start-up founders stand out online. An event co-organised by Metro Bank, B&F Services and Smarty took place at Metro Bank’s headquarters in Holborn, London, on January 25th. The talk on digital marketing attracted over 70 delegates, a mix of start-up owners and people thinking of starting their own business.
The event was aimed at helping business owners with their marketing campaigns and growing their businesses online on a budget. The presentations were given by industry leaders who offered ideas on how to kick off the marketing of a small organisation or entrepreneur. They provided valuable insight into how to improve a business’ efficiency through automation, helping them generate and nurture leads and plan for unforeseen circumstances.
John Harrison, Local Director at Metro Bank, opened the event with an inspiring presentation about the innovative and ground-breaking approach Metro Bank has been undertaking since launching in 2010.
At its launch, it was the first high street bank to open doors in the UK within the last 150 years. Metro Bank has had an impressive strategy for attracting local customers and entrepreneurs to their beautifully designed branches.
The next presentation was delivered by Dr Farhad Reyazat, Founder and CEO of B&F Services and Smarty Software. He introduced a powerful theory about the effect and influence of a network.
Farhad commented: “The rise of social media has transformed the nature of attention, a shift that is driving brand confusion and presenting marketers with substantial challenges. He also highlighted: Entrepreneurs are the future of the UK, so it’s important to nurture and encourage them to take advantage of the opportunities on offer. We want to ensure they are armed with all the necessary technology and tried and tested advice when they take the leap into the professional business world. Due to the uncertainties that are surrounding the UK, the importance of focusing on growing a business – particularly for small businesses and start-ups – cannot be underestimated.”
Finally, Agnes Gradzewicz, CMO of Smarty Software, discussed the power of a lead generation strategy for start-ups. Agnes started by discussing the importance of budgeting and understanding the cost of customer acquisition. She also explained how to effectively use social media to assist with contact prospecting.
Agnes commented: ‘’Smarty Software is honoured to be co-hosting this important event for start-ups. We have been supporting businesses since our launch in 2015. Our aim is not only to provide an innovative business software for start-ups, but also to assist them with growing their businesses. Personally, I love speaking at those events and connect with so many inspiring people.’’
